Laryngeal paralysis in dogs is a progressive neurological condition that commonly affects medium to large breeds, especially as they age.
Traditionally, surgery has been the preferred treatment for this condition, providing relief through surgical correction of the laryngeal obstruction. However, not all owners are willing to opt for this method due to various factors, such as surgical risk or cost.
In response to this situation, medical advances have allowed the development of less invasive alternatives, such as the use of ABTVet silicone laryngeal stents.

Any forceps that the vet has available can be used, in this case Bengolea forceps were used.
The stent was folded into four parts using two long Bengolea forceps: one curved and one straight.
